I have a BA Hons Degree in Health and Social Care Management as well as being a Learning Disability Nurse. I have also completed CPD courses in assessing and mentoring, health assessment, paediatric epilepsy, first aid and mental health first aid instructor courses, behaviour management and sleep.

I am a registered adult nurse, I have years of experience working in hospitals on urology, neurology, cardiology and vascular wards, I have also worked with older adults in nursing homes. I have worked for ELS for over 5 years, I have worked across all the schools we support but I am now based at Hereward College as nurse manager, I am responsible for managing and supporting our bank staff.

Having no prior experience working in health care, I started my journey as a HCA supporting adults with Learning disabilities. I have been extremely fortunate to have had opportunities to work and study in a wide range of health care settings. I’ve 16 year’s experience with the NHS prior joining ELS.

I have been working for ELS for 4 years., my role is service co-ordinator. I am a qualified physical education teacher and I have worked with children and young people before joining the ELS team. I really enjoy my role, it is varied as I work with students as well as supporting managers behind the scenes. I really enjoy working with all students and staff across the service.
